I am DVD addicted since i own my first pc-dvd player. That was in 1999 and since then, up to now, i´ve collected over ~210 single dvd´s and many series (the simpsons, futurama, x-files...)... I like the booombastic basses and the cristal-clear hi-sounds! :) That´s the reason why i´ve purchased the fantastic a/v amplifier DSP-AX2 from Yamaha which includes 49 standard DSP-effects and is configurable like hell! Some incredible sounding Canton speakers (Movie 50 XXL) are smashing the 5.1 sound into my brain with a Canton AV700 Center Speaker (and 2 heavy speakers from Magnat) *lol* -> the loudspeakerset Movie 50 XXL includes a really heavy subwoofer: 310 mm (12'') membrane which makes a sound like an earthquake :)) You can "feel" all kind of basses during the satellites are making a room-filling cinema sound >=) Jeah, this is practically 8.1 sound (with center/back), played under DTS-ES!
For nearly the best digital image processing i´ve got a silver Sony dvd-player (DVP-NS400D)...
More stuff around dvd and shakwave´s dvd world is coming later... For sure.... :)
